The San Joaquin Asparagus Festival in Stockton 2017

The San Joaquin Asparagus Festival in Stockton, California, is one of our favorite food festivals in Northern California. Some of our favorite foods are the deep fried asparagus, asparagus ice cream, and strawberry shortcake topped with raw asparagus. The festival has three stages which showcases a good mix between music and circus entertainment. The Asparagus festival is April 21, 22, 23, 2017. More Spring Events

Masullo Pizza - Sacramento

Thank you to our friend, Piero Giorgi, for suggesting Masullo Pizza in Sacramento, California.

We finally got a chance to try this place and everything was awesome! The service was great, start to finish. Our salad came out on a chilled plate which was very refreshing, being that it was another hot Sacramento day.

Our boys split a margarita pizza, I had sausage with a few onions. Both pizzas came out of their brick oven with thin crust and buffalo cheese melted to perfection.

The ingredients were simple, fresh, and wonderfully executed, just the way Italian food should be. The decor was modern and the prices were very reasonable given the food quality. The highlight ended up being a brick oven tour captured by our oldest:-)
